Support Our Work

Your Support Helps Others Thrive

The Uplands Center is a not-for-profit foundation, and we are grateful for your support.

You can help us fulfill our mission in any number of ways:

  • Make a donation directly to the Center
  • Help fund a group that is planning a retreat at the Center
  • Get involved directly in the work of the Center as an intern or a volunteer

Make a Donation

The Center does its best to assure that cost is not a barrier to organizations or individuals who would benefit from participating in a retreat or enjoying the Center’s many offerings. Operating the Center, however, is expensive and its means are limited. Accordingly, we rely substantially on the generosity of donors who wish to support our work.

If you would like to make a donation, please click here. If you would like more information about ways your gift could make a difference, please see some of the ideas below or contact Renee at

Help Fund A Group

If you already support another not-for-profit organization or philanthropic endeavor, you can advance its mission by funding a retreat or strategic planning gathering at the Uplands Center.

Whether the gift is made directly to the organization or the Center, the result is the same.

Please contact us for more information.

Get Involved Directly

There are also many ways to get involved in the  Center’s work directly. We offer summer internships to undergraduate students and other aspiring farmers and naturalists who wish to develop their skills with hands-on work in our gardens, forests and other environmental aspects of the Center.

We work directly with several institutions of higher learning to co-develop a fulfilling (and possibly credit-bearing) experience. For more information, please contact Renee at

We also gratefully accept the help of volunteers who wish to support the work in other ways. Let us know how you might help by writing us through our Contact Us form.

“The concept of self-care really got away from me! My soul was yearning for this weekend. Knowing when to open my heart and when to close it, was a profound learning for me. I am so grateful for this opportunity to meet and be in a community with such beautiful people. The setting, the food, the unstructured schedule, yoga, massage, the creative art project, hikes, swimming, sauna, the horses – it all filled me with such love and compassion for myself and others. Thank you for all who made this stay so memorable!”
