Team Building

The Uplands Center encourages retreat attendees to forge meaningful connections with their fellow team members through immersive, play-based activities.

Strengthening bonds within teams

Many retreats aim to deepen connections and strengthen a sense of community among those who dedicate themselves to others. This is often critical to making the work sustainable in the long-term and helping mission-driven groups to fulfill their goals.

At the Uplands, team building can take many forms. Activities such as nature-based explorations, art projects, personal storytelling, and structured competitions lead to a deepened sense of connection with each other and their shared work ahead.

“It was reinvigorating for us as leaders and teachers to watch [our team] bond in real time and really warmed all of our hearts to watch them unpack and consider their experiences in the beautiful and safe space you and all your staff provided.”
