Assistant Director: Agriculture, Grounds, and Facilities
Tristan grew up in New Jersey with an innate attraction to the outdoors, spending time in nature every opportunity he had. His curiosities evolved into profound respect and passion for nature, leading him to pursue the study of Wildlife Ecology at the University of Maine. The program’s heavy emphasis on sustainability and systems thinking resonated deeply with Tristan, resulting in a newfound commitment to learning and sharing ways to live more harmoniously with the earth. While living in Maine, he spent much time exploring the vast, rugged wilderness, which further increased his respect, appreciation, and curiosity for the natural world. Since graduating, Tristan has had a broad range of experiences including ecological research, sustainable aquaculture, and organic farming. In his free time, he enjoys backpacking, foraging, cooking, and studying herbal medicine. Tristan brings his passion for sustainable agriculture, strong handyman sense, and love for all things outdoors to The Uplands Center, eager to support their mission.
