Director of Art Programming

Born and raised in England, Lizzie grew up drawing, painting, and creating. She went on to study graphic design, launching her into a creative career. She now lives in Montclair, NJ, where she runs her own interior design business and art studio. Upon first visit, Liz instantly fell in love with The Uplands: the land, the founders, and their vision. Lizzie developed and created The Uplands Center’s interiors and is honored to have contributed in creating an “emotional heartland – an environment that touches the soul.” Lizzie’s focus for the Uplands has been to design an environment rich with texture and inspired by nature that supports inner harmony and prioritizes wellbeing. The goal is that every person who passes through the center will emerge refreshed, inspired and rejuvenated. Lizzie also leads “Creative Play” art experiences at The Uplands, which were born out of her personal journey of tapping deeper into her creativity, play, joy, and imagination.
