Retreat Spotlight: Alcohol & Drug Abuse Coalition of Delaware County

The Alcohol and Drug Abuse Council of Delaware County (ADAC) is dedicated to the prevention of alcohol and substance abuse by providing education, information, and referral services. These folks work day in and day out to support people so often left behind by our society, its policies, and its institutions—people courageously fighting substance use.

Prevention Specialists, Recovery Coaches, and executive staff came together at The Uplands to retreat. Through their a Renewal and Growth retreat, the group’s main goals were renewal, connection, relaxation and bonding. Towards this end, they participated in talking circles, a restorative yoga class, sauna sessions, yard games, patio hang-outs, a nature walk, and a delectable meal.

Thank you, ADAC, for all the work you do to raise awareness about substance use and support those fighting for their lives. The world is a better, more just and compassionate place because of you.
