The Delaware County Rural Healthcare Alliance brings together healthcare-related organizations to share information, conduct assessments, develop plans and fund projects to address health education and awareness. Through peer leadership development programs, substance use prevention initiatives, nutritional support in public schools, and aging-friendly activity programs, the Rural Healthcare Alliance aims to improve the health of rural New Yorkers.

The Policy Council met at The Uplands for their quarterly policy review meeting. The day started off with a gentle yoga class to awaken their bodies and clear their minds, followed by their board conference in The Uplands’ spacious meeting room. The group’s day culminated with a delicious lunch including tortellini soup, homemade focaccia bread, and a cauliflower frittata.
